Do a complete lab write-up using these guidelines (note that it has an example). I’m giving you extra time to turn this in.
The three Things you need to answer in this write-up is:
Thing I – Area of a Capacitor
Verify the relationship of C to A by producing the appropriate graph (including error bars) .
Thing II – Distance between Capacitor plates
Verify the relationship of C to d by producing a LINEARIZED graph (including error bars) .
Thing III – Find the Dielectric Constant
- For the 2nd set of data, find the dielectric constant (??).
do it by plotting ?C vs. ?????oAd and calculating the slope. (see video for details
Don’t forget to calculate error bars for both horizontal and vertical.
Don’t forget to show sample calculations and derivations (like derivations for errors)
