The article that I selected for this weeks discussion assignment was found on the Brigham Young University school website. I selected this article because of the detailed information about academic dishonesty. The university defined academic honesty as any work that will be subject to an instructor evaluation should be completed only by student and should be free from any dishonesty. Integrity is another term that the university may have used to refer to the issue with students and academic dishonesty. The article did not make any suggestions for assuring someone is not responsible for academic dishonesty. It is each students responsibility to assure that they are not committing any of the following: plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, cheating, academic misconduct, unauthorized uploading or sharing.

Proverbs 19:20 – Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise (NIV)

Proverbs 19:20 can encourage one journey to scholarly wisdom. One of the first principles of learning is the ability to receive more knowledge. The reflection of the first part of this verse demonstrates that a teachable person who will listen for advice and accept instruction has already made progress towards wisdom. As students, we must listen to our advisors, professors, or counsels and receive their instruction on becoming great doctoral students. One of the best blessings of my life has been having godly men there to teach me and give me good advice on life, the army, and family. The second half of this verse offers the reward of these two actions.
